How MARS and Salesforce share one school record

MERET’s implementation team keeps its school accounts in Salesforce. A school can’t screen anyone until it also exists in MARS, and keeping the two systems in step by hand would mean someone copying the same details from one screen into another, which is slow and easy to get wrong. The link between them is part of our work on MARS.

It starts in Salesforce. When staff mark a school account as ready, a flow sends it to MARS over a secured callout, and MARS creates the school, sets up its screener set and opens its main screening link. MARS then writes that link back to the account through its own integration user. Later updates travel the same road.

The result is one record per school. Nobody retypes anything. The link a school gets is the link MARS uses.

We try every change first in a full Salesforce sandbox wired to a MARS development server. Production comes last.
